Gao Ling is one of the most successful and versatile badminton players of all time. She won four Olympic medals, two gold, one silver, and one bronze, in both women’s doubles and mixed doubles. She also won five World Championships, four in mixed doubles and one in women’s doubles, and six Asian Games gold medals, three in each event. She was known for her consistency and reliability, as well as her cheerful and positive attitude on the court. She retired in 2011, after a long and fruitful career.
