While loop in Python
In Python, a while loop is initiated with the keyword while
followed by a condition. The loop continues to execute the indented block of code as long as the condition evaluates to True
.
count = 0
while count < 5:
print(count)
count += 1
Output
0 1 2 3 4
Explanation: This Python code initializes a variable count
with the value 0
. The while loop then iterates as long as the value of count
is less than 5
. Inside the loop, the current value of count
is printed, and then count
is incremented by 1
in each iteration using the +=
operator.
Working: The loop starts with count
equal to 0
. It prints the value of count
(which is 0
) and then increments count
to 1
. This process repeats until count
reaches 5
, at which point the condition count < 5
becomes False
, and the loop terminates.
