The 526 Antioch earthquake struck the city of Antioch in the Byzantine Empire in late May, probably between May 20–29, 1526. The earthquake had an estimated magnitude of 7.0 and was followed by 18 months of aftershocks.

Seleucia Pieria was already struggling against silting and never recovered from the earthquake. Byzantine historians described the earthquake as a sign of divine wrath.
