Aftermath and branch allotment

Felt happy, went for counselling, offline(yes, very tedious but no chances of errors),the Principal herself was alloting the seats and branches based on ranks and availability. As expected, missed out on CSE(by just 1 seat) and got alloted COMPS.

BVP-CET Exam Experience

Overview:

My BVP-CET Exam(for admission to B.Tech programs of Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering)was scheduled for 11th July 2022. All the preparation I had done for it was the JEE Prep from my coaching institute Allen. My exam center was at TCS iON, Thane, and was scheduled from 9 AM to 12 PM. The exam was initially scheduled to be in hybrid mode, where students could opt for either online or offline mode of exam attendance....

My thoughts:

Being underprepared, I didn’t expect much. Seeing all the Quora reviews where they’re saying that CSE closes at the top 120 ranks and COMPS at the top 150 ranks, I thought it’d take quite an effort to pull it off. Due to its low fees despite being under a private deemed university, many lower middle-class families too wanted to make their children study there....

My performance on D-Day:

Nevertheless, with this array of thoughts, I entered the exam hall, formally dressed, unlike those many candidates who were in normal dress. It was a better experience than the exams I had given so far, scoring 120/200 in a lengthy paper, consisting of 200 1-mark questions within 3 hours from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics(yes, no Logical Reasoning and English, unlike most of the other private entrance exams!). The questions were of Boards-level, comparable with MHT-CET difficulty. I messed up the Chemistry section due to a few silly mistakes and confusing answers. I had no correct options among the given, and were later on marked as 0 for everyone I guess:)...

My Final Result:

Expecting a sub-par rank of around 400-500, I felt dissatisfied, however, when I checked the rank, it turned out to be 157!...

My personal feelings:

Wow!...
