Mention any major difference between analog communication and digital communication?

Ans- Analog communication uses analog signals for the transmission of continuous signals to transmit the information, while digital communication uses digital signal whose amplitude is of discrete binary values (0s and 1s). Analog signals are easily affected by noise and quality decreases over distance, while digital signals less affected by the noise and can be easily transmitted.

Why is analog communication still relevant in the age of digital technology?

Ans- Analog communication continues to be relevant due to its simplicity, low cost and smooth signal transmission characteristics. It requires low bandwidth. Many applications, such as voice communication, radio broadcasting, and instrumentation, rely on analog communication for its fidelity.

How does noise affect analog communication, and what techniques are used to minimize it?

Ans- Noise is the unwanted signal comes along with the message signal and carrier which affects the clarity and reliability of communication. It is the random fluctuations that enters the communication system via the communication channel and interferes with the transmitted signal and decrease the quality of a signal while transmission. Its interference can degrade the quality of analog signals, which leads to reduced clarity and reliability. We use filters such as low pass filters, shielding, and modulation for eg frequency modulation to preserve the important signal components.

Transmitter: A transmitter is an device which is used for transmission of signal in the communication channel. It includes many other processes like encoding, modulation, and amplification etc, basically it transmits the input data to the communication channel and its receiver. Receiver: The receiver is like a opposite of the transmitter as it receives the transmitted signal across the communication channel and then it processes it to extract the original message or information. This process includes many stages such as demodulation, decoding, and sometimes amplification to amplify or enhance the quality of the signal received. Channel: The channel is the path or we can say medium through which the signal or the information being transmitted travels from the transmitter to the receiver. A channel could be wired such cables or optical fibers or wireless like radio waves or microwaves. During this time some noise get into it and cause many disturbances to the signal, its noise and some distortion in signal which should be reduced or eliminated for successful transmission. Encoder: Encoders are used for the process of encoding the original signal in simple words we can say that encoders are used to convert the message or information into a format which is suitable for transmission through the chosen communication channel, it is known as encoding of message. Decoder: Decoders are the opposite of encoders, they are useful at the receiving end to reverse the encoding process and get the original message from the received encoded signal by extracting from it, this process is known as decoding we get the original message by the end....
