Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana
The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), is an integrated program spanning all facets of rural power distribution and intended to deliver uninterrupted power to all of rural India, was announced by the Ministry of Power on December 3, 2014. According to the plan, the government of India will contribute a grant of up to 60% of the project cost (85% for special States) and an additional grant of up to 15% (50% for the Special States) upon reaching the predetermined milestones. The DDUGJY has absorbed all existing rural electrification programs, including Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana.
