Causes of OCD
OCD can happen for many reasons. Here in this article, we will discuss the main reasons for OCD:
- Genetic cause: In a family, if the father, mother, or grandparents have OCD, then there is a probability of becoming OCD of the person. The chances of becoming OCD are around 2-3 percent if OCD patients are present in their family.
- Chemical messenger: Neurotransmitters act as a communicator with each other cell in our brain. Neurotransmitters in the corticostriatal thalamocortical lobe of the brain especially – serotonin, glutamine, dopamine, etc. When these things become imbalanced then OCD is happened.
- By Habit: Sometimes you become an OCD if you are staying with OCD sufferers.
- From Trauma: During childhood or adolescence, if any physical, mental, or sexual abuse occurs, then this trauma can lead to the OCD of an individual.
Is OCD curable?
Yes, OCD is curable even it is a long-term treatment process. It is curable but fully recovering is a tough and challenging matter.
