Haridwar
Haridwar is a city that is situated on the bank of river Ganga and located in the Himalayas , Uttrakhand. It is known as holy place and regarded as it is one of the seven sacred holy places and it’s also a pilgrimage centre Ita has an land area of 2360 square kilometers . It has a population of 18,90,422 people.Haridwar is one of the four places where the Kumbh Mela , a massive hindu festival held after every 12 years. Rishikesh is a district of Uttrakhand ,India. It has a small land area of approximately 11.5 square kilometers . As of 2021 ,the total population of 3,22,825 people. , It is also known as the “Yoga Capital of the World”. In this city there are many yoga centers and Ashrams .It is also popular for being a mountain range adventure hub it offers various adventure activities like water rafting , bungee jumping, trekking and mountain biking on the hills.Rishikesh was declared the first “twin national heritage city” along with Haridwarin in 2015.
Kanpur
the western part of Uttar Pradesh, India.It lies on the south bank of the holy river Ganga river. It covers an area of approximately 268 square kilometres . It has approx population of 5.1 million people. the As of 2011 census ,it has an estimated literacy rate of 79.65 per cent .Kanpur is also known for being the Industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh and also known for its leather industry ,textile mills and aerospace manufacturing .There are numerous ghats along the river banks in Kanpurserve like Sarsaiya Ghat and Nanarao Ghat serves every morning and evening for religious rituals, prayers and bathing.
Prayagraj
