Identify the odd word/numbers

In this kind of question, the common characteristic shared by the three options must be identified. This shared common characteristic is based mainly on general knowledge information. The following is an example of such a question:

1. Pick the odd word out from the given list of words.

A. Madurai
B. Konark
C. Khajuraho
D. Ellora.

Answer: D. Ellora
Explanation:-
Except for ‘Ellora,’ all others are examples of notable temples, whereas ‘Ellora’ is known for caves.

2. Choose the odd number from the given list.

A. 17
B. 13
C. 27
D. 19.

Answer: C. 27
Explanation:-
All the numbers in the given list are prime numbers except 27. Therefore, the correct option is C. 

Identify the odd pair of words

In this category of question, you are given a set of pairs of words, all of which, except for one, share a common attribute. You must determine the relationship and select the pair of words that are not related in any way. The following is an example of such a question:

1. Pick the odd one out from the given pair of words. 

A. Peace: Fight
B. Rough: Smooth
C. Coward: Timid
D. Taciturn: Talkative

Answer: C. Coward: Timid
Explanation:-
Except for pair C, all of the words are antonyms. The terms in option C, on the other hand, are synonyms.

Identify the group of odd letters

In this type of classification question, four sets of letters are usually provided. Three of such letter sets are similar in some way, while one is entirely different from the others. The following is an example of such a question:
 

1. Choose the odd pair of letters from the given list.

A. PQT
B. DEH
C. UVY
D. IJN

Answer: D. IJN
Explanation:-
Option D has a three-letter gap between the second and third letters, separating them from the rest of the letters. The other three options have a two-letter gap between the second and third letters.
