CUET 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to carefully review all CUET eligibility criteria before submitting their CUET UG application. Eligibility requirements for each program are determined by participating institutions, while NTA establishes the criteria for appearing in the CUET UG exam. To qualify for CUET 2024, candidates must have passed their Classes 10+2 from a recognized board. Specific CUET 2024 UG eligibility criteria will be accessible on the official websites of the universities chosen by the candidates.
- Age Requirement: There’s no upper age limit for the CUET entrance exam. Nationality: Indian citizenship is a prerequisite for eligibility in the CUET 2024 entrance test.
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have completed Class 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 50% marks.
- Subjects Studied: During Class 12, candidates must have studied any of the listed subjects, including but not limited to Accountancy, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, etc.
- Qualifying Exam Marks: Candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% in their last qualifying examination. However, for SC, ST, and OBC-NCL categories, the minimum requirement is 45%.

Latest Update: The CUET 2024 Exam Dates have been unveiled on the official NTA website, scheduling the exam from May 15 to May 31, 2024. Expect the release of the CUET 2024 application form for UG courses in February 2024. Interested candidates can complete the CUET 2024 registration via cuet.samarth.ac.in, with the application process likely commencing in the first week of February 2024.
Prospective CUET 2024 candidates can opt to use the ‘Sandes’ application to stay updated with NTA’s timely notifications. General students applying for CUET 2024 will encounter an application fee of INR 750 for up to three test papers.
For CUET UG preparation, candidates must have attained a minimum of 50% in their 10+2 exams, with no age restrictions specified for CUET 2024. Different participating colleges under CUET possess varying eligibility criteria. The test is computer-based and is conducted in 13 languages, comprising four sections: Section 1A encompasses 13 languages, allowing candidates to select their language subject during form submission. Section 1B is designated for candidates opting for language subjects beyond those listed in Section 1A. The remaining sections include General Tests and Domain-specific subjects. The CUET 2024 syllabus outlines Section 1A subjects such as English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Gujarati, among others, covering topics like reading comprehension, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, etc.
