Day One: Getting Down to Business
The event started with a serious candle lighting thing followed by a great talk by Ramana Telidevara, the founder of Codetantra.com. He told us the basics of starting a business and what it takes to be a founder. After that, it was lunchtime we got food coupons in hand. After that, We got our own space with all the stuff we needed to brainstorm and plan. We split up the work in the team, starting with tossing out our solution ideas together before diving into our business plan.
As the first round of judging approached, we were nervous but pumped. We pitched our idea to the judges, answering their questions as best we could. Luckily, they liked what they heard, and we made it to the next round. After dinner, we dove back into our work, determined to make our business idea shine.
Galgotias University Fest Experience (E-cell Ideation Event)
Back in my second semester, it three of my buddies eagerly jumped into our first ideation event hosted by the E-cell at Galgotias University. This exciting two-day hackathon aimed to spark our entrepreneurial spirit by throwing challenges our way in different areas like health, finance, and the environment. Our task was simple: spot a problem in any of these areas and come up with a solution that not only fixes it but also has the potential to become a successful business. My idea? Using wind energy from fast-moving cars on highways to create electricity.
