Early Political Career
Based on her educational qualification and communication, Pratibha Singh Patil was given the Congress Party ticket for Edlabad constituency. She defeated three veteran leaders to win her first election in 1962 and She became the MLA at an young age of 27 years.
After this, She got consecutive victories from the Muktainagar constituency between 1967 and 1985. These successive wins made her so famous in national politics. In 1991, she became Member of Parliament from Amravati constituency. Due to her leadership, she made an strong belief in Indian National Congress.
