C. Interview:
Based on the score obtained in the Main examination, candidates will be shortlisted, and subsequently be called for an interview, conducted by the Participating Banks and IBPS. This part of the stage carries 100 marks and candidates have to score at least 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates) to get on the merit list. The IBPS will announce the merit list on its official website after the interview round is over.
D. Scores Counting Methods in Different Stages of Exam:
- Penalty for wrong answers applies to both the Preliminary exam and the Online mode of the Main examination. For each wrong question is given by the candidate one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. If a question is left unanswered, there will be no penalty for that particular question.
- The score obtained by giving a correct answer by each of the candidates of different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for calculations.
- In the final merit list, the candidates are shortlisted based on the combined final score obtained by the candidates in the Mains Examination and Interview; the weightage (ratio) of Main Exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
