Sphere Formulas
What is Sphere?
A sphere is a perfectly round three-dimensional geometric object in which every point on the surface is equidistant from a fixed point called the center.
How do we calculate the surface area of a sphere?
The surface area A of a sphere is calculated using the formula: A = 4πr2
What is the relationship between the diameter and the radius of a sphere?
Diameter of sphere is twice the radius i.e., d = 2r.
How do we find the radius if you know the volume?
To find the radius r from the volume V, you can rearrange the volume formula i.e., [Tex]r = \left(\frac{3V}{4\pi}\right)^{\frac{1}{2}}[/Tex]
Sphere Formulas
The sphere is a round 3D object. Unlike other 3D shapes, the sphere has no vertices or edges. The distance from the center of the sphere to any point on the surface is the same. In geometry, a sphere is a three-dimensional figure with a round shape. From a mathematical point of view, it is a combination of a set of points connected by common points equidistant in three dimensions. Examples of spheres include basketball, soap bubbles, and tennis balls.
