Signing Up and Adding Your Website
To begin using Bing Webmaster Tools, take the following actions:
- Register: Visit the Bing Webmaster Tools website and log in using your Microsoft account, or register if you do not already have one.
- Add your website: After logging in, enter the URL of your website and proceed with the verification process to establish that you are the owner of the domain. This can be done using verification using GSC or Google Search Console or Manually Verifying the website. By including a meta tag in the HTML code of your website, uploading an XML file, or changing the DNS settings for your domain to include a CNAME record, you can confirm ownership.
- Verification: After you choose one of the method stated above. If you choose GSC method, it will directly lead you to the Dashboard, but if you manually verify the website, three options will appear for verification, One is XML file, in which an XML files is downloaded and uploaded to the web server, next is HTML Meta Tag, in this tag is added to the homepage head section. Last is Adding CNAME record to DNS or Domain Name Server, this you can find in your Domain Provider Dashboard. After you verify your website you can access the dashboard.
