Step by Step Guide to use Android Device Manager and its features

1. Access Find My Device:

  • Open a web browser and visit the Find My Device website
  • Log in with the Google account linked to your Android device.

2. Locate Your Device:

  • Once logged in, the website will display a map with the location of your device.
  • If your device is connected to the internet, you will see its real-time location. Otherwise you will see the device’s last known location(last known location refers to the most recent geographic location data recorded or reported by a mobile device.)

3. Enable Lock or Erase Data:

  • Tapping on Secure Device button will prompt for Recovery message like how to reach you and Phone number, providing these details and tapping on SECURE DEVICE Button will leave message on your device so in case anyone found your device can see this message and reach out to you
  • Clicking on ERASE DEVICE will ask you to authenticate yourself and then erase all data from your phone after taking your consent.

4. Ring Your Device:

  • To use this feature users just need to click on the PLAY SOUND segment, it will start ringing your phone with high volume.
