India’s G20 Presidency
The theme of India’s G20 Presidency is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth One Family One Future” which is taken from the ancient Sanskrit text of Maha Upanishad. The theme relates to individual lifestyle as well as national development level. , highlights environmentally sustainable and responsible choices that will result in a clean, green and blue future.
- For India, the G20 presidency also marks the beginning of the “Amrit Kaal”, a 25-year period starting from the 75th anniversary of its independence on 15 August 2022, leading up to the centenary of its independence as a futuristic, prosperous, inclusive and Developed society, distinguished by a human-centred approach at its core.
- India’s special guest countries are Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and UAE and invited international organizations are UN, IMF, World Bank, WHO, WTO, ILO, FSB, OECD, AU Chair, There are NEPAD Chair, ASEAN Chair, ADB, ISA and CDRI.

G20 Summit: The Group of Twenty (G20) is a group of 19 different countries representing major industries from around the world and the European Union, these countries include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, These include Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Important economic aspects like global economic growth, financial stability, trade, investment, employment, energy organization, climate change, and sustainable development have been discussed in the G20 event. The G20 Summit is held annually, under the leadership of a rotating Presidency.
