Lessons Learned: Choosing the Right Branch
Now, after four semesters, I struggle to manage both branches. My CGPA reflects this, dropping from 8.5 to 7.96 in the second year. This experience highlighted the importance of:
- Prioritizing Passion over Prestige: Choose a branch that excites you, not just a college’s reputation.
- Understanding the Curriculum: Research the curriculum and workload of each branch.
- Valuing Parental Guidance: Their insights can be invaluable for your future.
Do Your Research & Follow Your Passion:
Research B.Tech branches thoroughly. Consider the curriculum, job prospects, and crucially, your own interests. Don’t be swayed by college rankings alone. Finally, value your parents’ guidance; they want the best for you.
My story serves as a cautionary tale, urging future students to make informed B.Tech branch selections.
My Journey From LNMIIT to MNIT Jaipur
Hi everyone,
I’m writing this blog to share my experience and advise everyone to think deeply before choosing a branch in B.Tech. I appeared for the JEE Mains exam in 2022 and achieved a decent percentile, around 97.2. This score enabled me to secure admissions in lower branches in top NITs. Additionally, I got a seat in LNMIIT Jaipur in Computer Science, one of the most prestigious private colleges.
