Little Back Story
My interest in appearing for JEE came from my environment. My brother is an IIT graduate and I looked up to him and aspired to follow his footsteps (maybe even try to be a little better than him). This set my path towards choosing sciences in +2 as my core subjects. I gave my first attempt for JEE, both Mains and Advanced, in 2015. I didn’t get a good enough rank but was happy I got a rank at all. I got into IIT Bhu for Int. Master’s in Pharmacy but I wasn’t interested in that field at all. I loved Physics at that time and thought I wouldn’t be able to breathe if I didn’t have Physics in my life and my career. So, I decided to join IISER which I also got with the same rank.
IIT being my dream school, I didn’t want to give up on it yet. So, I attempted JEE again the following year, while being enrolled into my Int. Master of Science from IISER. I couldn’t manage my time as well as I thought I could, it suffered my interest in my undergrad studies, and neither could I properly focus on my preparation. I cleared Mains and Advanced again but had worse results than the previous time, so it wasn’t good enough to get into any college better than IISER. So I continued my education at IISER and graduated in 2020 with a Master’s in Mathematics minoring in Physics.
JEE Exam Experience
Hello there! If you are reading this article, it means you are between your study sessions, using your break time to see how other people did it or if you are on the right track. Well, I would like to believe you indeed are on the right track because you are using your free time obsessing over your upcoming examination. JEE preparation itself has been a transformative experience for me. I was struggling through the two years (11th grade is when I started my preparation), but I actually miss that hustle and am often nostalgic about those days. If you are currently going through it, make sure you savor the pain also because once it is done, you won’t be able to re-live it (as evident by my second attempt but the experience wasn’t the same).
