Pawan Kumar Chamling is the longest chief minister of Sikkim. He served as 5th Chief Minister of Sikkim from 1994 to 2019 for a duration of 25 years. He leads Sikkim Democratic Front party. Pawan Chamling was born on J22 September 1949 in Yangang, Kingdom of Sikkim. He became the Chief Minister of Sikkim for the first time on December 13, 1994 and he continued his tenure till May 26, 2019 after loss in Sikkim state assembly election 2019. In his tenure, he focused on education, healthcare, and infrastructure of Sikkim.
