My Journey
From the beginning of my under graduation, I had decided that I had to give different MCA entrance exams conducted across India. So, when Anna University rolled out the forms for TANCET exam, I had quickly checked all the important details regarding that exam i.e. whether I am eligible or not, what’s the registration fee, colleges accepting TANCET score and other such things. So, I had filled the form and started preparing for the exam. If you are strong in Maths, then you should focus on other sections, but if you are weak or little bit weak in Maths, then you should give first preference to Maths and then other sections. Also, if you are preparing for other MCA entrance exam such as NIMCET, then this exam won’t be that difficult for you to crack. You can easily crack this exam if you are preparing for NIMCET because NIMCET is the main entrance exam of MCA course in India as it gives admission to prestigious university i.e. National Institute of Technology (NITs).
So, as I was preparing for the exam, I had faced many difficulties i.e. whether I would be able to complete the syllabus, whether I would get time to give mock tests and check my weak areas and other such problems which students tend to face during their exam preparation. But with the help of my parents, friends and seniors, I was able to crack the exam. My suggestions to you would be to first take a deep breath and then when your mind is silent and happy, first go through the syllabus thoroughly. Check different sections which are asked in this exam, like for example Computer awareness and reasoning are not that tough that you can’t cover them. Your main focus should be Mathematics and try to give as much mock tests as required. Mock Tests help you a lot in finding your weak areas, strong areas and also you give mock tests in a time bounded manner which gives you the feeling that you are giving a real entrance test.
