NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (2024)
The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) is a joint Earth-observing mission between United States and India (NASA & ISRO). This is the first radar imaging satellite and it will equipped with dual frequencies: L-band radar and S-band radar. L-band radar will measure the changes in Earth’s surface such as land deformation, ice melt, and vegetation growth and S-band radar will measure the changes in Earth’s atmosphere such as rainfall and cloud cover.
