A plenary session was conducted where Vishal Arya, Mr Amit Patel who is from Red Hat and Ms Neha Jain from GitHub shared their professional challenges, their life’s struggles and success stories that served as inspiration for those aspiring to carve careers in development and contribution....

The event consists of engaging with an audience of individuals or organizations that are driven by the same passions, sharing ideas, and forming new partnerships. It was not just the conversation about the new trends in open-source development over a mug of coffee or the creativity firing up during the workshop when ideas for future projects were generated. I felt an environment where everyone was in unison....

Conclusion: The Future is Open Source which should be embraced

As the event was about to end, I widely could not stop myself from feeling motivated, mesmerized, and empowered by the devotion and enthusiasm of the open-source community. FOSS 2024 was not simply a conference but rather it was the biggest gathering of artistic minds and innovators during which they shared their knowledge freely in the excitement and anticipation of realizing their visions as well as all the potential that the collaboration offers....

Closing Thoughts

While I am saying goodbye to Babu Banarasi University, the vivid and colourful college of Lucknow, I don’t leave the campus empty-handed. I carry within me not just the memories of a fruitful experience and the concept of an expanding society of open-source software but also a renewed bond to partake in the life-long learning process and help the community. But as in an open source world, we never finalize the trip, the future belongs to us, and we take care of the shaping jointly....
