The ceremony began with sessions led by experienced seniors, and mentors in various tech domains such as web development, app development, AI/ML, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, and open-source contributions. These sessions provided insights into each domain, ignited curiosity, and inspired the newcomers. Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, the seniors shared valuable knowledge and guidance on navigating the vast tech landscape.
The inauguration of the club by the university’s acclaimed dean was the pinnacle of the GDSC onboarding event. One such community is Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC), a Google project that allows university students to gain practical experience with technology. On November 28, 2023, at Lucknow University, we welcomed a new wave of enthusiasts, embarking on an exciting adventure with an enriching onboarding ceremony.
As a member of the GDSC core team specialising in creativity and design, I was able to witness the new members’ enthusiasm firsthand. The onboarding ceremony served as a springboard to the numerous opportunities and experiences that await them in the tech world.
