Overview Of Garba Dance of Gujarat
‘Garba Dance’ from Gujarat state is now a part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel declared this achievement as a historical moment. It was officially confirmed by UNESCO for the spot on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. With the inclusion of the Garba dance, India now has 15 elements in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
India’s PM, Narendra Modi stated that “Garba is a celebration of life, unity and our deep-rooted traditions. Its inscription on the Intangible Heritage List showcases to the world the beauty of Indian culture. This honor inspires us to preserve and promote our heritage for future generations and expresses his Happiness for this Global Honour. This inscription of Element in the List will show India’s Age-old Traditions to the world.”

The Importance of this Unique Dance Art Form provided the people of Gujarat State with a Name &Fame around the Globe reaching a Milestone in the Inclusion of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Garba Dance signifies fertility, and honor womanhood, and pays respect to any arrangement of mother goddesses.
