The person responsible for the Waukesha Christmas Parade Attack was the 39-year-old Darrell Edward Brooks Jr. The police recovered his car, which was a damaged Ford Escape and arrested him on the day of the attack itself. Brooks was born and brought up in Milwaukee, who has had an extensive criminal background since September 1999.

He was sentenced with 2 years of prison time, 3 years of suspension and 6 months at the Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center for community service.

Darrell Brooks Criminal History

3 weeks before the incident, Brooks was arrested accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend and also for forcing her with the same SUV when he got into a fight with her at a gas station in Milwaukee.
