Pixio PXC277 Advanced
Pixio PXC277 advanced is 27 inch 1440p panel with 165 Hz refresh that claims 1ms response is a good gaming monitor with HDR support in budget pricing. It is good combination of perfect size, pixel density, and GPU load. In appearance it has HDR support but with monolithic backlight. Its brightness is rated out at 320 nits and there is no full-array local dimming. Actual image quality and gaming experience is something to ponder upon. However, unlike cheap panels, Pixio PXC277 Advanced’s panel’s default calibration is accurate even without backlight blotchiness and weird sharpening fiters.
Its panel’s HDR performance is less impressive as it processes an HDR signal and punch out broadly correct colours without providing a real HDR experience. Bright details are being blown out as the HDR calibration has some compression at the high. Standing on a crisp metal stand, this monitor comes with slim bezels on three sides and a bit of a chin; it doesn't actually look like a bargain basement item. It has an external power supply. It shows a cheap looking Pixio sticker slapped on the side as it is a generic item also the stand is tilt-only. This is a great value 1440p monitor. The drawback is that if you want to use HDR in games its HDR experience is not help full due to the peak brightness and weak backlighting so it is good to be stacked to SDR.
