In 1862, archeologist Alexander Cunningham found some strange unrecognized seals in some places of Punjab. In 1920, Rai Bahadur Daya Ram Sahni started the initial excavation when the first trace of the Harappa Civilization was found. At the same time, another team was working on Mohenjodaro to find the same civilization that was the oldest civilization in India. In early 1921, Daya Ram Sahani and RD Banerjee discovered the two oldest cities Harappa and Mohenjodaro. Gradually these two cities showed so many same features regarding a well-known civilization.
