Pythagoras Theorem

Pythagoras Theorem states the square of longest side of a right angled triangle is equal to the sum of square of rest two sides. In case, of right angled triangle, the longest side is the one which is opposite to right angle. This longest side is called hypotenuse and the remaining two sides are perpendicular and base. Thus, mathematically it is expressed as

Hypotenuse2 = Perpendicular2 + Base2

Application of Pythagorean Theorem in Daily Life

Pythagorean Theorem gives a relation between the sides of a right-angled triangle. It is also known as Pythagoras Theorem. The three side lengths following the Pythagorean theorem are called Pythagorean triplets. It was given by one of the ancient Greek mathematicians named Pythagoras. The longest side of a right-angled triangle is called a hypotenuse, and the other two are called base and perpendicular. The theorem states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of base length and the square of perpendicular length.
