SD-WAN
SD-WAN is an abbreviation used for Software-defined wide-area networking. It is a networking technology that was designed to enable an organization to implement a high performance. It is described as an automated and programmatic approach to the management of network connectivity in the enterprise. It is also used for the management of circuit costs. It is developed by extending existing software-defined networking(SDN) to create a smart hybrid WAN. It is developed to provide greater business agility and responsiveness so that they can stay updated with the innovations happening in IT.
SD-WAN vs MPLS
In this article, we are going to learn about technologies that are used for the management and optimization of network connectivity. We will first discuss SD-WAN which is a modern technology. Then we will further look at MPLS which is a technology that was developed in the 1990s.
