Sections of the Golden Quadrilateral Superhighway
The Golden Quadrilateral superhighway constitutes four sections.
Section I
Section I of the Golden quadrilateral expressway covers NH2 from Delhi to Kolkata. The outstretch is 1454 km. States encompassed are Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Significant urban communities incorporate Delhi, Agra, Allahabad, Mathura, Firozabad, Kanpur, and Faridabad.
Section II
Section II of the Golden quadrilateral expressway covers NH6 from Kolkata to Chennai. The outstretch is 1684 km. The states encompassed are Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh Orissa, and West Bengal.
Section III
Section III of the Golden quadrilateral expressway covers NH4 from Mumbai to Bangalore, NH7 from Bangalore to Krishnagiri in TN, and NH46 from Krishnagiri to Chennai. The outstretch 1290 km. The states encompassed are Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
Section IV
Section IV of the Golden quadrilateral expressway covers NH8 from Delhi to Kishangarh, NH79A, NH79, and NH76. The outstretch is 1419 km. States encompassed are Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Significant urban communities incorporate Ajmer, New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Vadodara, and Surat.

Golden Quadrilateral Superhighway
The Golden Quadrilateral Superhighway refers to the national network which connects the 4 major industrial and cultural cities of India, which included Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. As connecting 4 dots forms the shape of a quadrilateral, because of which is known as a quadrilateral. The primary objective of the project was the creation of superhighways and a reduction of distance and time on the road while traveling between the various cities. It is known as the fifth-longest highway in the world and also the largest project in India. The Project was managed by the National Highways Authority of India.
The Golden Quadrilateral Superhighway is a gigantic expressway project that interfaces the four significant metropolitan communities in India through the 4 significant National Highways of India. The effective length of the Golden Quadrilateral superhighway is 5,846km, comprising four and six-lane express thruways. The task was assessed to cost six hundred billion Rupees, yet was finished at about a portion of the assessed costs, at three hundred and nine billion Rupees. The entire length of the quadrilateral was functional by January 2012.
