Horizon is the annual technical fest of IIIT Vadodara-International Campus Diu. The main goal of the fest is to bring together great minds through various technical and non-technical events, workshops, talks, and exhibitions. It’s not just an event, it’s a celebration of technology, innovation, and intellect. Horizon serves as a platform for students interested in and passionate about the growing technologies to showcase their talent, wit, and intelligence. Here, participants from all corners of India unite to create something truly extraordinary. Horizon is organized and managed by the Technical Committee of IIITV – ICD and its various clubs. Horizon 2024 this year was bigger and better, with a lot more focus on both hardware and software. We all were excited to take part in events of our recently established and introduced Robotics Club and our classical Coding Club along with the elegant events of the Design Club....

Organizing Committees and Clubs

The Technical Committee of IIITV – ICD comprises dedicated and hard-working students who are entrusted with the management and organization of various events and clubs. There are a total of 5 clubs under the Technical Committee which are overseen by the committee, these include the Design Club, the Robotics Club, the Gaming Club, the Coding Club, and the Finance Club. Along with these 5 Clubs the Technical Committee is also the main Organizing body of the Technical Festival....

Summary of Events

This year’s Techfest Horizon 2024 had 1 talk, 1 workshop, 5 technical events, 2 gaming events, 1 Crypto Trading Event and 1 design event, a total of 11 events over 11 days....

Personal Experience

The best thing about the fest was that I got to participate in and learn about many different disciplines that I could find my interest in. I discovered that I had a passion for coding and problem-solving, something about it just gave me joy and confidence. Due to my interactions with seniors, I was able to receive the correct guidance that helped me advance in my field of interest and develop my skills further. My performance in Code Voyage was fairly better and I am somewhat satisfied with it but I still have a long way to go and can always be better. More than anything I found a community and built strong social connections and networks, the bonds formed with my batchmates helped me gain perspective and collaboration. I am grateful I could be a part of such a fest of such a renowned institute and push myself towards what I aspire to be and come a step closer to my ambitions....
