Steps to set Nexus
Step 1: After installation of JDK, we have to download the TAR file of your repository or you can also take up the sample TAR file and download it using the wget command
Step 2: After the download is complete, untar the file using the command sudo tar -xvf filename. After you have extracted the file, you can remove the tar file from the directory.
sudo tar -xvf <filename>
Step 3: Setup the user for Nexus and give it work permission for the files.Using below commands.
Sudo adduser <username>
sudo chown -R nexus:<username> <filepath?
Step 4: Start the Nexus server by running following command.
./nexus/bin/nexus start
Step 5: After starting Nexus wait for some time and then copy your IP address and run the server on port 8081.After you server is up create your account on nexus or sign in to nexus.
<yourIP>:8081
Step 6: Setup your Nexus and Create the repository in the Nexus and setup the settings as per your requirements.
After setting up the repository you can go on with creating the pipeline and automation for your repository as per requirement.
