Unique Land Parcel Identification Number Scheme
Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) is an acronym for Unique Land Parcel Identification Number. It is merely a unique number for lands, as the title suggests. For an easier understanding, let’s consider that the ULPIN works like an Aadhaar Card for real estate. Identical to Aadhaar cards, it comprises a 14-digit specific alphanumeric identifying number. Provenance, length, and longitudinally and meridional dimensions are all included in this ID.
The unique number holds the landowner’s classified information, including age, location, sexuality, banking information, and other details regarding the land they own. In generating the unique ID number for that patch of property, an official performs a complete survey or refers to a valid study of that piece of property. During the procedure, they also use spatial cadastral maps.
