Weather Integration in Google Maps
Google Maps get updates on temperature, rain, and air quality from The Weather Channel. If you wish to know more about the location’s weather, you can simply check out the expanded air quality information. The box shows you additional weather information for the selected area.
Having a weather forecast on Maps just makes sense, especially when it comes to navigation. As you navigate around the map, the weather information switches up on the fly, giving you a real feel for what’s happening right where you are.
Google Maps on Android: Now Featuring Current Weather Information
Quick Overview
Google Maps update, now displays local weather conditions, temperature, and AQI in a specific area.

Google Maps is getting a new feature, just like iOS. Which will help you see the local weather conditions, temperature, and AOI in specific areas when using the Weather App. The feature has started rolling out in recent weeks and is finally seeing wider availability now. For this users need to be on the latest version of the app on their Android devices for it to show up.
Google Maps on iOS has already been enjoying this feature and now it is finally here for Android users as well. The feature first showed up in October. To save you time looking up the weather info for a place, Google Maps now shows you the weather of that area on the screen in a small window just under the search bar.
