Boron is a light chemical element which is placed in period 2, group 13 and the p-block of periodic table. The chemical symbol of Boron is “B”. The atomic number of Boron is 5. The nucleus of this atom consists of six neutrons and five positively charged protons and five electrons. In its crystalline form Boron is dark in color, brittle and shiny; on the other hand in its amorphous form Boron is found as brown powder. Elemental boron is a metalloid that is found in the crust of earth. It has two naturally occurring and stable isotopes that are-
