What is Product Marketing:
Product marketing is the process of aligning product positioning with customer needs in order for customers to buy and use those products. It all boils down to getting the product to market and making it sellable. We accomplish this by understanding our buyers’ challenges and positioning our product as a solution to their problems. Product marketing is the process of introducing a finished product to the market in order to increase customer demand and adoption. Product marketing entails developing the product’s image, messaging, and market positioning, launching the product, and ensuring that both salespeople and customers understand the product’s appeal.
Product Management and Product Marketing | Difference Between
Product management and product marketing are two roles that are commonly found in software-as-a-service (SaaS) and e-commerce businesses. Any company, however, can define something as a ‘product’ and assign a team to manage or market it. A SaaS company’s product, for example, would be a software solution; e-commerce may have different item categories, such as clothes or notebooks; and a news website would consider ‘content’ to be its product.
