What Will Be the Cost of GTA 6?
The launch price for the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 video game is still unknown, as developer Rockstar has not revealed pricing yet. However, modern video game enterprise traits advocate that GTA 6 will be the highest-priced identity in the hit series. When Grand Theft Auto 5 was initially released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and subsequently for the PlayStation 4, it carried the everyday preliminary fee tag of $59.99.
In the years since, the costs of developing major video games have greatly increased, leading publishers to test higher initial prices. For example, Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of the GTA series, has already launched new games like NBA 2K24 and Marvel’s Midnight Suns at $70 instead of the old $60 norm.
With GTA 6’s estimated $2 billion development budget, speculation has emerged that its launch price may top $70. However, the established $60-$70 range for new video game releases may keep it within that band.
GTA 6 Price and Where to Pre-Order
It is expected that scammers are trying to exploit people who are excited to play Grand Theft Auto 6. The most recent scam offers access to a supposed “GTA 6 Alpha Version” for $225, which is a complete fabrication. GTA 6 is not being officially released until 2025. Currently, no legitimate pre-orders are available, nor do we know the release date or edition options that will become available when pre-orders open up, likely months away.
Rockstar has revealed very little about the game so far, although fans believe they have identified the game’s map in the trailer. With so little official information available, scammers see an opportunity to deceive people. Fake PC downloads have already been seen, and now a fake pre-order scam has emerged.
