Who is Eligible for this Examination?

NTSE is open to all the students who are studying in class 10 in India. Every student who is in class 10 or equivalent is eligible to appear for the examination. You don’t need to be in the 90+ percentage category. There are no such boundaries of percentages and marks set as an eligibility criterion. Students with a strong foundation in subjects including mathematics, science, social studies, and mental ability can prepare for the exam. It is better to start preparing for NTSE in advance, preferably from class 9 onwards.  

The National Talent Search Examination or popularly known as NTSE is a renowned national-level scholarship program that is conducted by the NCERT or the National Council of Educational Research and Training. The main aim of this exam is to reach out to the talented minds of India. The exam is conducted in two stages: 

• Stage 1 takes place in each state or union region, 
• Stage 2 takes place nationally. 

Students’ mental aptitude, academic aptitude, and general awareness are assessed on the NTSE test. It is available to Class 10 students enrolled in accredited Indian schools. Selected students can receive financial aid through the scholarship program to pursue higher education in the arts, social sciences, and professional fields.
