Top Engineering Entrance Exams
The admission process for leading engineering colleges in Maharashtra is overseen by the “Admissions Regulating Authority and State Common Entrance Test Cell,” instituted by the Maharashtra Government. Most colleges in Maharashtra admit students to engineering programs based on their scores in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).
The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) nationwide, offering admission to various undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture. Scheduled for April and May, the JEE Main 2022 will be conducted in two separate sessions.
- MHT CET
The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, administers the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) for admission to engineering, pharmacy, law, and management courses. Registration for MHT CET commenced in February, and the application process is set to conclude by March 31st.
- GATE
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) administers the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), which facilitates admission into postgraduate engineering programs.
