What’s new in the Google Messages
Photomoji
With the help of Google AI on your device, Photomoji lets you turn your favorite pictures into reactions. How about answering a text message with a picture of yourself? Select any of your favorite photos, turn them into a Photomoji, and click “Send.” You can use the Photomoji you make repeatedly because they are saved in a special tab. The best part is that your friends in group chats can also use the Photomoji shared.
Voice Mood
Voice Moods make speech messages more engaging. You can show nine emotions with your voice. It can sprinkle heart-eye emojis, spit out fireballs, or play the party popper. People who get your message will be able to hear your words and see a result that shows how you’re feeling at that moment. We’ve also raised the bitrate and sampling rate for voice messages to improve the sound quality based on user input.
Screen Effects
When you use Screen Effects, your messages come to life with animated graphics that turn your words into stunning visual shows. You can type specific terms like “I love you” or “It’s snowing” and watch your screen light up with a kaleidoscope of colors and movement. Also, try to find all 15+ secret Screen Effects prompt words with your friends.
Custom Bubbles
With the new Custom Bubbles feature, you can change the bubbles’ color, the chat’s background, and the person you’re talking to. You can change the color of each chat if you want. It’s no longer a blue vs. green battle. Now you can tell the difference between your talks, so don’t text your family group chats a weekend update meant for a friend.
Reaction Effects
Adding Reaction Effects to your messaging app will make conversations more interesting. Think about this: Your friend texts you to let you know that you and they have reservations at the new, cool place everyone is talking about. If you respond to the message with a thumbs-up emoji, magic happens immediately, and three dancing hands appear around the message bubble. This tool is meant to make your chats more interesting.
Animated Emoji
Emojis are the basic blocks of expressing ourselves when we text, but Animated emojis go one step further by adding a compelling burst of visual effects to every message. For instance, if your friend sends you a message about the beautiful holiday spot they just booked for you, and you tap the heart emoji in response, you’ll get an animated emoji with a pink heart that accurately shows how excited you are.
Profiles
People who use Profiles can change their user name and the picture that goes with their phone number. You can now change how you look on all Google services with Profiles. We know how important it is to be able to express yourself. Group chats can help you track who else is in the group by letting you see messages from phone numbers that aren’t saved in your contacts.
